Spanish

Hola!

This week was pretty good.  We were not able to teach Luis Perez (the guy with cáncer) this week because he had kemo last Monday and it hit him pretty hard.  But, we have a lesson with him on Tuesday!  So, hopefully everything goes well with that.  He really wants to get baptized on Saturday, so we will be praying that everything goes well for him.  He is really cool.

We have a pretty good week this week.  We found 4 new investigators!  One is named Omar.  He is a 20 year old and we are going to give him to the YSA missionaries.  But, he has a lot of potential.  His parents are from Mexico, but he was born and raised here, so he speaks better English than Spanish.
Another couple is Patricia and Abel.  they are cool too.
Another lady is named Yeni. (Jenny in English).  They are all really cool people and have lots of potential.  We are going to be working a lot with them so that they can progress!

The work has been going by a lot smoother now that we have the part of the área.  Before we just had a few places, but gaining this new área has helped out so much.  It's really cool to go back to places where I was before.

Jaxon has been a missionary for such a long time now!  I hope everything is going well for him.  I pray for him every day!  He is probably going to have better Spanish than me just from his 6 weeks in México.  I am so jealous!  He is going to be an amazing missionary!

Carlos León was going to be baptized, but we were not able to meet with him for a few weeks.  Nor did he come to church...  But, we have a lesson with him on Tuesday, so we will see!  His wife just crossed the border last week too, so maybe we can get his wife on board!  Yeah!

There was lots of miscommunication between the missionaries and the bishop.  And the hispanic culture is really prideful and always has to be right...  So, there was a few problems and President Orgill thought it was best to move him and a few other missionaries to not cause any more conflicts.  But, things are getting better now.

Time is going by even more quickly!  Every day seems to go by quicker...  it's crazy!

Oh!  I almost forgot!  As a new misión, President Orgill is trying to start up some new ways to spread missionary work.  So, he started a misión choir.  and I was chosen to be a part of it!  We have practices on Tuesdays and we are going to go to different wards/stakes throughout the misión and perform for sacrament meetings, Ward conferences, stake conferences, etc.  It's a super cool idea and I am excited to be a part of it!

Well, I think that it all for this week.  I hope you have a wonderful and fantastic week!
Love, Elder Hunt

P.S. Sorry if some of the words are spanish or have weird accent marks.  I just figured out that I can write in Spanish!  And since I write most of my emails in Spanish, I changed it!  It's cool.  Right now, my whole letter is red underlined hahaha.

I LOVE YOU!
